Seydou-Junior Haïdara

Seydou Junior Haidara is a former professional Football Player. He played college football at Laval University where he has been a two times national champion and team captain. He was drafted 12th overall by the BC Lions in the 2013 CFL Draft. Following the 2013 season, he was named BC Lions’ most outstanding rookie and was a nominee for the same honor in the west conference of the CFL.

Beyond sports, Seydou is passionate about helping others and positively affect people’s lives. He is also an entrepreneur, public speaker, and author. In collaboration with Dre Annick Vincent, he is heavily involved in raising awareness and helping others, who just like him, are living with ADHD. Visiting over 5000 students in nearly 50 different schools around the province, he was also part of the Together At School program and the Ultimate Football Tour with the Montreal Alouettes; a community outreach program to inspire and encourage kids to stay in school, make the right choices and reach their full potential.

In 2020 he officially launched his scriptwriting career, co-writing with Kadidja Haidara the Television show UNE SORTE DE GUÉRILLA, currently developed by Sphère Média. Shortly after, he undertook the co-writing of another television show: MOONIYANG developed by Avenue Productions.
