Margaret McBrearty
Writer
A performance graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada, Margaret McBrearty has played extensive roles on stage, on television and in film. As a playwright, she published her first critically-acclaimed piece, La Terre est tellement grande, after touring it extensively, where it was enthusiastically received by audiences. She had another hit with her second play, Loulou sur le chemin de Compostelle, which, after a second successful tour, was invited to play the Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg, a rare honour for a French-language play. She is at work on a third piece, to be workshopped in 2013-2014. After turning her attention to the small screen, Margaret has developed several projects for television, most notably Toi & Moi, a romantic comedy series she co-created and co-wrote.
