Florence Lafond

Florence Lafond is a screenwriter and director. She is co-writer on the TV series Wipe Me Away (Ici Tou.tv), adapted from the novel by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette, and directed by Eric Piccoli. Florence won the Prix Gémeaux for Best Writing in a Digital Dramatic Series, and the series was selected for Canneseries 2021. The second season of Wipe Me Away has been broadcast since 2023, and Florence is working on the third season.
A finalist in the Cours écrire ton court, 2019-2020 edition for her screenplay Until You Die (Jusqu’à ce que tu meures), the short was chosen from over 3,000 submissions to be one of 45 films in international competition at the prestigious Brussels Short Film Festival 2024.
Also the recipient of a production grant from CALQ in 2021, Florence most recently received support from SODEC for her project in development called Caller malade.
