Evangéline Kabuya

Evangeline completed her bachelor in communication studies, specializing in film at Concordia University in 2016. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in cinema at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University (NYU). In 2017, her short film, Dust, was screened in the 13th edition of the Montreal Black Film Festival and, in 2018, in the Tout Simplement Noir program of the 36th edition of Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma.

Raised in Québec by Congolese parents, her art seeks to highlight the beauty that is found in the meeting and mixing of different identities.
