Denis Villeneuve

Director

Denis Villeneuve is a French-Canadian director and screenwriter born in 1967. His latest movie ARRIVAL (2016) was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director. He also received international critical acclaim for SICARIO (Official Competition, Cannes 2015), PRISONERS (2013) and INCENDIES (Best Foreign Language Film Oscar Nominee, 2011). His next movie BLADE RUNNER 2049, starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, will be released October 6. He is currently in development to adapt Jo Nesbø’s THE SON and Frank Herberts’ DUNE.
